Rapper WYCLEF JEAN spent his first FUGEES pay cheque on his parents - to repay them for all the trouble he caused growing up.

The caring GONE TILL NOVEMBER singer - who was raised in a rough area of Brooklyn, New York - gave them a huge sum of money so they could buy their dream home.

Wyclef says, "The first thing I did with my first cheque, I bought a house for my parents.

"I paid $800,000 (GBP470,000). And they were, 'What's this, eighty dollars?' and I was, 'Nah, put a few more zeros on it. The house y'all wanted up the hill? Y'all can get it now.'

"And they really just was crying, because I wasn't the best kid when I was little. My brother was the lawyer.

"I'm the one that used to cut class, space out, they used to have to come in there for me every day. They really struggled with me."
