ROLLING STONE rocker RONNIE WOOD is at the centre of legal row after he failed to turn up for a gig, despite being been billed as the top act.
Wood was expected to join his former THE FACES bandmate KENNEY JONES at a concert in Deal, Kent earlier this year (05), and fans were understandably disappointed when the star failed to arrive.
A spokesman for Wood insists the START ME UP hitmaker never agreed to perform at the gig.
However, bosses of the Astor Theatre, are considering legal action against the agent involved in the booking, MIKE HOBLEY, who claims he only "hoped" Wood would be on stage.
Astor Theatre chairman JON JOHANSON (corr) says, "I was told he would be playing. We are considering options including legal action."
