SHELLEY WINTERS - WINTERS NAME MISSPELLED ON GRAVESTONE

Officials at the final resting place of THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE star SHELLEY WINTERS have been forced to rework the actress' temporary gravestone - after spelling her name wrong. As family and friends await a permanent tombstone tribute to Winters, to mark where she's buried at Los Angeles' Hillside Memorial Park and Cemetery, they're appalled that officials have taken so long to correct the 'Shelly Winters' dedication on a stray plaque. A red-faced spokesperson at the cemetery insists the marker will be corrected after Winters' friends took their dismay to America's tabloids. One says, "Having her name misspelled on her gravestone is the ultimate indignity."
