British Actress KATE WINSLET is so protective of her daughter - she'd personally kill anyone who would dare to harm her.

The TITANIC star - who appears as a reporter trying to save a condemned man in the new anti-death penalty flick THE LIFE OF DAVID GALE - admits that in reality she'd have no problems with murdering anybody who harmed her two-year-old offspring MIA.

She says, "I always swore that I'd never say how I personally felt about the death penalty. But the reality is that as a parent, if anyone touched my child, I'd want them dead and I would kill them myself!"
