KAISER CHIEFS frontman RICKY WILSON injured his leg performing a stunt during a concert in Portugal on Tuesday (16AUG05) night.

The I PREDICT A RIOT singer, famed for his onstage high jumps, flung himself into the air but landed awkwardly and was left in agony.

But, despite his pain, Wilson finished the show in a more subdued manner before being rushed to hospital.

He says, "We were just three songs into the set. I was singing EVERYDAY I LOVE YOU LESS AND LESS, jumped in the air and forgot where the floor was.

"I got X-rayed and injected and told to stay in bed for a week. There's not much chance of that until January so I've had to put it off."

Doctors said Wilson had not fractured any bones, but protected the injured ligaments with a plaster cast as a precaution.

Earlier this year (05), Wilson injured his ankle jumping from a speaker stack during his band's US tour.
