KANYE WEST - WEST SAYS SORRY TO WILSON

Rapper KANYE WEST stunned country singer GRETCHEN WILSON at yesterday's (07NOV04) GRAMMY AWARDS nominations by apologising for bitter comments he made about her.

West lost out to Wilson in the Best Newcomer category at the AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS last month (NOV04) and became a sore loser backstage when he called her music "bulls**t".

But the rap star, who received 10 Grammy nominations, made amends at the early morning party in Los Angeles by finding Wilson and saying sorry.

She says, "He just walked up and tapped me and he looked like a little boy and he said, 'I'm sorry.' I didn't know what to do but hug him."
