SCOTT WEILAND - WEILAND TO FACE DRUGS CHARGES THIS FRIDAY

Rock singer SCOTT WEILAND will appear in a Burbank, California court on Friday (18JUL03) to face drugs charges.

The former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS star, who has now joined several ex-GUNS 'N ROSES members to form VELVET REVOLVER, had previously been scheduled to appear last Friday (11JUL03), but the trial judge reportedly postponed because Weiland was still attending a Florida drug rehabilitation centre.

Weiland, who has a history of drug-related arrests, was arrested in May (17MAY03) after Burbank police found drug paraphernalia in a car he was travelling in, before being released on $10,000 (GBP6,250) bail.
