CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY - WARNER'S WONKA LEGAL VICTORY

NEWS BY ARTIST ALPHABETICALLY

Warner Brothers have won a legal battle against a toy company attempting to market CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY themed dolls to coincide with the release of the TIM BURTON movie.

The studios, which made the upcoming remake of the quirky classic, stopped the Pedigree Dolls And Toys manufacturing toys under the name of WILLIE WONKA (the correct spelling being WILLY WONKA), arguing they had not "put (the name) to genuine use".

And the court victory means Warner is now free to bring out its own range of merchandise to tie in with the long-awaited JOHNNY DEPP spectacular.
