Actor VING RHAMES has signed up to revive TELLY SAVALAS' 1970s TV series KOJAK.
In August (04), Rhames production wrapped on a two-hour TV movie for USA NETWORK, which will now serve as the premiere episode for the nine-week original series.
The late Savalas, godfather of former FRIEND star JENNIFER ANISTON, played stylish Lieutenant THEO KOJAK in the original drama from 1973 to 1978.
Filming on the new series is scheduled to begin in Toronto, Canada, in January (05), and is expected to hit screens in March (04).
