VINCENT SCHIAVELLI STORIES


Character actor VINCENT SCHIAVELLI, best known for his role in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, has died of lung cancer. He was 57.

Schiavelli, recognisable to movie fans around the globe for his hangdog looks, also starred in director MILOS FORMAN's AMADEUS and THE PEOPLE VS LARRY FLINT and blockbusters including TOMORROW NEVER DIES and BATMAN RETURNS.

The New York-born Schiavelli appeared in more than 150 film and TV productions, and also wrote three cookbooks.

He died at his home in Generosa, Sicily, yesterday (26DEC05) and is survived by his wife CAROL MUKHALIAN and two children.
