PRINCE - VEGAS GOES PURPLE AS PRINCE TAKES OVER CLUB

Pop superstar PRINCE is set to make Las Vegas, Nevada, his home this summer (06) as he negotiates a residency at the Empire Ballroom. The reclusive PURPLE RAIN singer is in talks to take over the venue after informing venue bosses he wants a "real intimate setting" where he can perform and host shows by his own up-and-coming artists. A spokesman for the Empire Ballroom insists Prince will invite a string of superstar pals to make surprise appearances at his new Sin City home. Prince will make his 3121 live concert premiere at the club this weekend (27MAY06) and then hopes to temporarily rename the venue Club 3121 for planned shows this summer.
