Rocker-turned-radio DJ STEVE VAN ZANDT has slammed contemporary American radio for turning a blind eye to rock 'n' roll music.
The E STREET BAND guitarist has a successful sideline hosting radio show LITTLE STEVEN'S UNDERGROUND GARAGE and is appalled at the lack of exposure rock enjoys on the airwaves.
He says, "If THE ROLLING STONES came out today, there is not one radio station in America that could play them.
"They wouldn't fit anybody's format. How did we end up where every format apart from rock 'n' roll was catered for?"
