Three films made by murdered Dutch director THEO VAN GOGH are set to be remade in New York City next year (06).

Van Gogh was shot and stabbed by radical Islamist MOHAMMED BOUYERI while riding his bicycle in Amsterdam last year (NOV04) - his TV documentary SUBMISSION criticised Islam and let a series of death threats before Van Gogh was murdered.

It was announced at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada yesterday (13SEP05) that 06, BLIND DATE and INTERVIEW will be reshot back-to-back on digital video and will star STEVE BUSCEMI, THE TERMINAL star STANLEY TUCCI and BOB BALABAN of GOSFORD PARK fame.

Blind Date (1994) is a tale of grieving parents, 06 (1996) features two people who meet on a phone sex line, while Interview (2003) concerned a political journalist relegated to interviewing a soap star.
