The YEAH! heart-throb's mum sacrificed her marriage to see her son succeed as a singer, so Usher is prepared to return the favour if necessary.
He says, "I think if she didn't like my girlfriend it would cause problems.
"My mother made sacrifices for me... She chose to support my career over her marriage so if some day I had to be supportive of my family, then so be it."
