R+B hunk USHER's girlfriends have to win the approval of his mother and grandmother before they can start dating him.

The 25-year-old YEAH! singer, ex-boyfriend of TLC star ROZONDA 'CHILLI' THOMAS, admits any woman hoping to enjoy a romance with him must first be put through an extensive inspection.

He explains, "Once, I dated this girl, and my mother hated her. She said, 'She is not cute physically or personality-wise.'

"To this day, I have to go through a test with my mother and my grandmother with all the girls I date. If you make it past my mother, you're good. And if you make it past Granny, you're even better!"
