R+B heart-throb USHER made huge strides in New York recently, by riding the city's subways at 2am.
The YEAH! singer, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, made an impromptu decision to ride Manhattan's underground system late last month (JUL04), and he even made a friend along the way.
He says, "It was about two o'clock in the morning, I was sitting in my hotel, the TRUMP, and I decided I wanted to take the train.
"So I jumped on the train, left my bodyguards and I just went for a ride. I met LARRY. And then the attendant came on and I signed autographs. We had a good time."
