USHER has become the first artist to spend nine weeks at the top of the American album charts since SANTANA's SUPERNATURAL experience in 2000.
The R+B hunk's new album CONFESSIONS has reclaimed the top spot from AVRIL LAVIGNE, who crashed in at number one last week (02JUN04) with UNDER MY SKIN. Usher's hit album has sold 3.9 million copies in America to date.
Meanwhile, Usher is still taking the singles chart by storm in America - he has three hits in the top 10, including the number one, BURN.
