R+B badboy USHER has lashed out at reports he made a fan pregnant behind ex-love ROZONDA 'CHILLI' THOMAS' back - explaining his song CONFESSIONS PART II relates to an old incident from his past.

Although the U GOT IT BAD singer maintains he "doesn't have a child", he admits he was inspired by a past situation to pen the song about a man confessing to his girlfriend that he is expecting a child with another woman.

Last week (ends19MAR04) British tabloid THE SUN claimed Usher had a three-month-old child with a mystery woman, following his split from the TLC star last year (03).

Usher explains, "The rumours started shortly after we did a few listening parties for my album CONFESSIONS.

"The word kinda got out that I had a baby. I did a song, Confessions Part II, about a gentleman, a cat that has to confess to his girl that he's got a baby and he hopes she gives him another chance. But I don't have a child."

Despite admitting the song is inspired by a past pregnancy, Usher refuses to elaborate further.

He says, "It wasn't a specific situation that happened in my life right now. In other words, I wasn't in a relationship and got another girl pregnant - right now.

"But it is something I can relate to and it's something that has happened to me in the past. As I said, I have a few deep, dark ones that I've kept stowed away in a closet for a minute"
