American R+B star USHER is still struggling to let go of his feelings for former lover ROZONDA 'CHILLI' THOMAS, even though they split last year (04).

Despite having cheated on the WATERFALLS singer towards the end of their three-year relationship, Usher insists the publicity surrounding their break-up has made it even tougher to put the past behind him.

He tells the New York Daily News, "It's very hard to let go of, mentally. You can't let go of it because everyone is involved in it - it was such a publicised relationship.

"There are a million and one opinions, but you got to get away from that. And I really wish we could be better friends."
