USHER - USHER BLASTS LOVECHILD RUMOURS

R+B playboy USHER has lashed out at reports he had a lovechild behind ex-love ROZONDA 'CHILLI' THOMAS' back - insisting his song CONFESSIONS PART II is fictional.

Last week (ends19MAR04) British tabloid THE SUN claimed Usher had cheated on the TLC singer with a fan, who became pregnant and gave birth in December (03) - citing lyrics from the track as a 'confession'.

He sings, "My chick on the side said she got one on the way/ 'Bout that chick on part 1 I told ya'll I was creepin' with, creepin' with/ Said she's 3 months pregnant and she's keepin' it."

Thomas fuelled the rumours, when she said of their split last year (03), "Usher did the ultimate no-no and I'll never be with him again. If someone cheats on me one time, they will probably do it again. I don't ever want to see him again."

But at Saturday's (20MAR04) SOUL TRAIN MUSIC AWARDS in Los Angeles, Usher reacted angrily when New York radio star WENDY WILLIAMS approached the star about the rumours.

As Usher rushed down the red carpet, Williams shouted, "Let's talk about this alleged child."

The U GOT IT BAD singer soon turned on his heel and stormed over to Williams, yelling, "How dare you? You know I don't have a kid."

Williams retorted, "I knew it was all a stunt. I knew you were a fake."

Usher's spokeswoman SIMONE SMALLS explains, "Usher was running late for the show, and his performance was second. So we did as much red-carpet stuff as we could.

"The story is completely false and we don't know where it began. Apparently people have taken the words from his song literally and out of context. He does not have any children or any on the way."
