USHER has slammed stories his relationship with former girlfriend ROZONDA 'CHILLI' THOMAS collapsed when he fathered another woman's baby - insisting it was their eight-year age gap which ended the romance.

The YEAH! singer, 25, claims he and the TLC singer simply wanted "different things" - leading to the painful break-up.

Usher emphasises, "I do not have an illegitimate child.

"I think maybe I should clear the air a little, because it never happened. My relationship ended because she is 33, and I'm 25.

"We wanted different things, and we broke up because of irreconcilable differences, not because I got somebody pregnant."
