American music acts USHER and LINKIN PARK were the big winners at the RADIO MUSIC AWARDS in Las Vegas last night (25OCT04).

The CONFESSIONS singer took home awards for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year and Hip-Hop Song of the Year, while Linkin Park grabbed the Alternative Rock Song of the Year and Rock Artist of the Year.

The nominees in each category were based on radio's top-playing songs, with programme and music directors voting on the winners.

And everyone at the star-studded presentation ceremony was entertained by live performances from DESTINY'S CHILD, ELTON JOHN, TRAIN and ALANIS MORISSETTE.

The winners are:

Artist of the Year Hip Hop/Rhythmic Radio: USHER

Artist of the Year Top 40 Radio: BEYONCE

Artist of the Year Country Radio: TIM MCGRAW

Song of the Year Rock Alternative Radio: LINKIN PARK - NUMB

Song of the Year Hip-Hop/Rhythmic Radio: USHER - YEAH!

Artist of the Year Rock Radio: LINKIN' PARK

Artist of the Year Modern Adult: TRAIN

Legend Award: JANET JACKSON
