USHER - USHER AND CAMPBELL IN RESTAURANT ROW

R+B star USHER was at the centre of a row in an exclusive London restaurant last week (begs22NOV04) when his girlfriend NAOMI CAMPBELL allegedly refused to pay their $3,600 (GBP2000) bill.

Sources at the British capital's Cipriani eaterie say the CONFESSIONS singer and the British supermodel were enjoying champagne, wine and expensive dishes.

But when it was time to pay for the food, Campbell reportedly lost her temper and claimed she shouldn't have to pay because the restaurant is owned by her ex-boyfriend FLAVIO BRIATORE.

An onlooker tells Britain's DAILY MIRROR newspaper, "When Naomi was handed the bill, she looked furious. She was kicking off saying that she wasn't going to pay and that as a personal friend of Flavio, she shouldn't have to pay.

"People could tell there was a kerfuffle going on. Then she said the service wasn't up to the levels she was used to.

"In the end Flavio was called and he told staff to waive the bill. But there was anger that she'd got away with being so rude and not having to pay."

Campbell's spokesman says, "There wasn't an argument. When the bill came, Naomi said Flavio was taking care of it as agreed."
