UMA THURMAN's GOLDEN GLOBE nomination yesterday (18DEC03) was the only high point in an otherwise miserable day.
The actress had to fight a fever as she worked from 5am to late into the evening handing out Globe nominations and promoting new movie PAYCHECK.
Her flu symptoms became evident when she appeared on THE TONIGHT SHOW and asked host JAY LENO to take her temperature. Holding a hand to her brow, Leno revealed, "You're hot."
The tough actress confessed, "I've had some chicken soup and a very nice doctor came today to try and fix my wagon."
