LIV ULLMANN - ULLMANN HONOURED IN NORWAY

Norwegian actress LIV ULLMANN was honoured by the country's KING HARALD on Wednesday (11MAY05) to become a Commander With Star of the Order of St Olav.

The AUTUMN SONATA star, 66, received the order, which was established in 1857 to honour Norwegians for providing "excellent services to country and mankind".

During her long career, Ullmann received two OSCAR nominations for FACE TO FACE and THE EMIGRANTS - for which she received a GOLDEN GLOBE in 1973.

Ullmann starred in nine INGMAR BERGMAN films, including PERSONA, and had a five-year affair together, resulting in their daughter LINN.
