Rock supergroup U2 postponed the Asia-Pacific leg of their Vertigo world tour today (09MAR06), after one of the band's family members fell ill. The WITH OR WITHOUT YOU stars hope to reschedule the gigs at a later date. Promoter ARTHUR FOGEL says, "(The decision was made) due to the illness of an immediate family member of one of the band. "Any fan of U2 will realise that this decision has not been taken lightly. We will announce further details as soon as we have them." U2 were set to play Auckland, New Zealand, on 17 and 18 March, before heading to Australia for gigs in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. The foursome were also set to play Yokohama, Japan, on 4 April and Honolulu, Hawaii, on 8 April.
