Country star SHANIA TWAIN's childhood was so impoverished, she was forced to sleep in freezing conditions.
The THAT DON'T IMPRESS ME MUCH beauty was often crippled by frostbite during the winter months, because her parents couldn't afford to pay the heating bill.
She says, "My parents couldn't always feed us or pay the heating bills.
"Many times we had to go to bed with layers on. Some winters I got frostbite. We could have relied on the welfare system, but my father had too much pride. So a lot of times we suffered."
