British rockers TOPLOADER have finally split - after months of uncertainty about their future.

The DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT hitmakers had enjoyed massive chart success with their catchy single but subsequent releases have failed to grab the public's attention.

On their website www.toploader.com, bandmembers ROB GREEN, JOSEPH WASHBOURNE, DAN HIPGRAVE, MATT KNIGHT and JULIAN DEANE left fans an emotional message.

They wrote, "To all our friends, we have decided to call it a day with Toploader.

"We just wanted to thank you all for your support over the years. You have been the best fans and we will miss you all. Cheers, the Band."
