Movie megahit TITANIC has been voted the worst film ever in a poll on British TV show FILM 2003.
Over 2,000 different films were nominated by tens of thousands of viewers - but Titanic emerged as the clear winner.
Despite the fact JAMES CAMERON's 1997 film is one of the most financially successful films of all time and was awarded eleven OSCARS, it has struggled to win widespread critical approval.
STEVEN SPIELBERG's AI: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE came second in the poll, while PEARL HARBOR was voted third.
But bizarrely movie classics CITIZEN KANE and LAWRENCE OF ARABIA also made the list, although not the top ten.
Film 2003 host JONATHAN ROSS agreed with the viewers's top selections.
He says, "May I commend the nation wholeheartedly on its choice. Titanic is an awful film.
"If Pearl Harbor was not at least in the leading five, then my confidence in the taste and judgement of the great viewing public would have been extremely shaken."
