CAMERON DIAZ is furious her boyfriend JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's mother persuaded him to drop his plans to propose to the CHARLIE'S ANGELS beauty over Christmas (04), pals claim.

The 32-year-old actress allegedly branded the 'N SYNC hunk's mum LYNN HARLESS an "interfering b**ch" for telling her son she disapproves of the marriage, reports British newspaper the DAILY MAIL.

Timberlake has allegedly stopped speaking to Diaz after her comments about his mother, who has steered his career since he was ten years old.

A close friend says, "Cameron has worried from day one that Lynn didn't like her and didn't approve of their relationship.

"She was livid when she found out Lynn has stopped him proposing.

"She flew right off the handle and told Justin his mother was an interfering b**ch. They have barely spoken since."
