TIMBALAND - TIMBALAND FOR COLDPLAY

Hip-hop producer TIMBALAND is keen to team up with British rock band COLDPLAY - because he's bored with rap.

The legendary studio man - who helped launch JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's solo career and often collaborates with MISSY ELLIOT - is so disillusioned with the state of urban music, CHRIS MARTIN's moody band are the only people he thinks are worth working with.

Timbaland, real name TIM MOSLEY, says, "The only act I'd like to do a song with is Coldplay. That's the only one I really want to work with now.

"Hip-hop is the same ol', same ol'. I can do a beat and keep doing it, but it's not the same.

"All the other stuff out there ain't creative. It's just a bunch of lollygags."
