Golf ace TIGER WOODS is suing a Canadian yacht company, claiming it violated a confidentiality agreement by distributing photographs of a boat that he purchased.

Woods, who recently tied the knot with model ELIN NORDEGREN, is suing CHRISTENSEN SHIPYARDS for allegedly distributing photos of Woods' luxury $20 million (GBP11.1 million) yacht, PRIVACY, thus breaking an agreement to keep the purchase under wraps, the SMOKING GUN website reports.

According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Miami, Florida, Christensen used Woods' name and distributed pictures of the vessel to yachting magazines during a recent boat show.

In a sworn declaration from Woods' new bride, Nordegren says, "(The yacht was purchased) for the exclusive benefit and enjoyment of my family. As its name implies 'Privacy' was intended to be a private respite for our family to relax and escape the rigours of my husband's celebrity."

The statement goes on to say that Nordegren was at a boat show on 28 October (04) where she saw photos of the yacht Privacy and of her husband in Christensen's booth.

Nordegren and Woods wed in a lavish ceremony on the Caribbean island of Barbados on 5 October (04).
