TIFFANY - TIFFANY VIES FOR CAREER COMEBACK

Eighties pop pin-up TIFFANY is hoping for a career comeback in her native America through an upcoming reality TV show.

The I THINK WE'RE ALONE NOW singer has signed up to be a contestant on HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME - the US version of the current British ITV network show.

Tiffany beat GLORIA GAYNOR, LIMAHL, THE HONEYZ and HOWARD JONES to win the first heat of the show and is competing in the final tomorrow (21MAY05).

In the US version, Tiffany will battle veteran hitmakers such as WANG CHUNG, FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, TOMMY TUTONE, the KNACK and the MOTELS.

Each will perform their greatest hit and then cover a contemporary song, while the audience votes on its favourite.

MTV NEWS reports the show, which will last three episodes, starts airing on 2 June (05).
