DWAYNE JOHNSON - THE ROCK RETURNS TO HIS FOOTBALL ROOTS

Wrestler-turned-movie star DWAYNE 'THE ROCK' JOHNSON will return to his American football roots in 2006 with two films about the sport.

THE SCORPION KING star, who was a football star at the University of Miami, will play a hard-living single athlete who discovers he once fathered a child in one movie and a real-life coach of a detention camp team in another.

In the untitled first film, The Rock will have to give up his partying, bachelor ways when learns he has a seven-year-old daughter.

The second film, GRIDIRON GANG, is based on a true story.
