The rappers 50 CENT and THE GAME have donated $200,000 (GBP105,260) to help boost suffering schools in California's Compton district.

The pair made the donations through their respective companies THE BLACK WALL STREET and THE G-UNITY FOUNDATION yesterday (07APR05) to help the COMPTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT and its ailing arts and music program, which has been dormant for several years, according to website ALLHIPHOP.COM.

50 Cent, real name CURTIS JACKSON, says in a statement, "GUnity's goal is to lend a hand to the people who need it most. This donation is just the beginning of what we're hoping to do."

Ecstatic District Superintendent, JESSE GONZALES, says, "This magnificent donation couldn't have come at a better time. For the first time in many years, we can purchase musical instruments and provide music programs for our elementary school students."

Last month (MAR05), after ending heated rap feud, the rappers donated a total of $253,500 (GBP133,421) to the BOYS CHOIR OF HARLEM.
