DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - TERI'S TAN CAUSES DESPERATE PROBLEMS

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star TERI HATCHER hopes fans of the show aren't too attentive when the second season begins on Sunday (25SEP05) - because they'll notice she's a different colour.

The sexy actress took a holiday in the Bahamas just before she started filming the new season and returned to the show with a dark tan.

Her brown skin caused all sorts of problems for the show's make-up experts because they had to make sure her character, SUSAN, looked just like she did at the end of last season.

She explains, "The new season starts where the last season ended - my character was sitting at the table in MIKE, the plumber's, house, being held at gunpoint by ZACH.

"We come back to me at exactly that same time, in the same position, at the same table, only, during hiatus, I went to the Bahamas and got a really great tan, so the make-up and the lighting people had to do a little adjusting to make that work."
