R+B veteran TEENA MARIE will make her first live performance since the
August (04) death of mentor and collaborator RICK JAMES when she rings in
the New Year (05) at the HOUSE OF BLUES in Los Angeles.
The LOVERGIRL hitmaker admits she hasn't been able to record or perform
since James' death. She says, "It's been very, very hard. I stopped
working when he passed away." Teena Marie, real name MARY CHRISTINE
BROCKERT (corr), plans to pay tribute to James during the show by
performing a handful of the funk superstar's hits.
