THE TEARS - TEARS POSTPONEMENT CAUSED BY ANDERSON'S DAD'S DEATH

LATEST: British rockers THE TEARS postponed a London concert on Sunday (07AUG05) because frontman BRETT ANDERSON discovered his father has just died.

The band, founded by ex-SUEDE members Anderson and BERNARD BUTLER, were due to appear at the British capital's historic Somerset House venue, but Anderson pulled out to mourn the death of his dad PETER.

The concert was set to be the final in a star-studded run at the outdoor venue where bands STARSAILOR, ATHLETE and PRODIGY have already performed to a rapturous reception.
