DONALD SUTHERLAND - SUTHERLAND PUTS RESTRAINING ORDER ON SMOKERS

Acclaimed actor DONALD SUTHERLAND refuses to allow smokers within one hundred metres of him when he is working on a movie set.

The PRIDE AND PREJUDICE star is so repulsed by the smell and the potential damage to his health that he refuses to let anyone with a cigarette anywhere near him.

ROSAMUND PIKE, who plays JANE BENNET in the latest remake of JANE AUSTEN's classic novel, was privileged to be able to chat to him on set - because she is not a smoker.

She says, "I don't smoke so I was able to come within a hundred metres of him, which most people on set couldn't because of the smoking ban - no one can smoke within a hundred metres of him."
