KIEFER SUTHERLAND - SUTHERLAND PROMISES TO BE NICE TO DAUGHTER'S BOYFRIEND

24 star KIEFER SUTHERLAND has vowed to be pleasant to his teen daughter's boyfriend - after leaving his step-daughter's ex traumatised from his taunts.

SARAH, 16, has had the same boyfriend for the last two-and-a-half years, and Hollywood stalwart Sutherland has chosen to embrace him rather than tease him, as he did with the beau of MICHELLE - the daughter of his ex-wife CAMELIA.

He says, "We used to do terrible things to (Michelle) when she used to bring a guy back home from a date or something.

"I'd have a bunch of friends come over and we'd just scare the life out of this poor kid. We would start cleaning the rifle in the living room saying, 'When are you gonna be home?' and stuff like that.

"We thought it was really funny, but I ran into this kid later in life. He was about 20 years old and we really traumatised him, so we've decided to give Sarah a break. We're not doing that kind of stuff to her."
