SHARON STONE - STONE'S GAP CHOICE AT THE OSCARS

Hollywood actress SHARON STONE once wore a T-shirt from clothing retail giant Gap to the Academy Awards.

At the suggestion of pal ELLEN DeGENERES, Stone picked out the clothing she felt most comfortable in before attending the ceremony in 1996.

She says, "My friend Ellen suggested I go into my closet and get out five of my favourite pieces.

"(I wore) a Valentino ready-to-wear skirt, an Armani dress worn as a coat and a Gap T-shirt.

"I thought, 'A Gap T-shirt to the Oscars? Hey, I'm nominated (for CASINO), and I'm presenting two Oscars, so why not have some attitude?"
