Movie sex bomb SHARON STONE broke her three year absence from Hollywood to star in COLD CREEK MANOR, because she wanted to work with director MIKE FIGGIS so much.

The BASIC INSTINCT star, 45, had taken an extended break from the big screen following 2000's BEAUTIFUL JOE, following illness and the adoption of baby ROAN with her journalist husband PHIL BRONSTEIN, who she split with earlier this year (03).

But the prospect of working with the British LEAVING LAS VEGAS film-maker proved too difficult to resist.

Stone explains, "I've always wanted to work with Mike Figgis. We've known each other for a long time and I think he makes such intriguing movies.

"I thought it would be a good way to get back to work."
