Sting 'S NEW BURLESQUE CLUB FINDS A HOME

Caption: * BOWIE & Sting (Picture)'S NEW BURLESQUE CLUB FINDS A HOME A once-famous New York Mafia haunt is set to become the site of DAVID BOWIE and STING's new burlesque club. The odd couple has teamed up with Los Angeles club boss Ivan Kane with a view to replicating his Forty Deuce hang....

STING was disappointed with THE POLICE's reunion at this year's (03) ROCK + ROLL HALL OF FAME induction ceremony - because it came 10 years too early.

The rock star admits he was reluctant to team up with STEWART COPELAND and ANDY SUMMERS to perform at the New York gala, and now he wishes he'd said no.

He says, "It was too early for me. I wasn't ready to see it with that nostalgic glow yet.

"We were inducted with the RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS. They opened the show and did YOU'VE LOST THAT LOVING FEELING, and it was like, 'Wow, yeah.' Then we were the last on, and I just wished it were happening in 10 years time when I could really feel rosy about it."
