Sting 'S NEW BURLESQUE CLUB FINDS A HOME

Caption: * BOWIE & Sting (Picture)'S NEW BURLESQUE CLUB FINDS A HOME A once-famous New York Mafia haunt is set to become the site of DAVID BOWIE and STING's new burlesque club. The odd couple has teamed up with Los Angeles club boss Ivan Kane with a view to replicating his Forty Deuce hang....

Veteran rocker STING hasn't heard BAND AID 20's cover of charity hit DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS? - despite singing on the original 1984 version.

The ROXANNE singer has been in India for the past few months so has not yet listened to this year's (04) line-up singing the track.

And he's relieved BAND AID organiser SIR BOB GELDOF didn't ask him to take part, because he fears he'd have been drowned out by the myriad of stars, who included COLDPLAY's CHRIS MARTIN, U2's BONO, ROBBIE WILLIAMS and DIDO.

He explains, "I've not heard it, I've been in India. I don't think there would have been room for me with all the other stars on it."
