ROD STEWART - STEWART PLANS WATER BIRTH

British rocker ROD STEWART's pregnant fiancee PENNY LANCASTER is planning a water birth for her unborn baby.

Stewart and leggy Lancaster are expecting to welcome their first child into the world in December (05), and they both plan to get into a large tub together when the baby arrives.

Stewart says, "She's gonna have a water birth, which is in a great big tub. The idea behind this is the baby's in water for so long it's less terrible for the baby if it comes out in water.

"And I have to get in there with her - that's gonna be the funny thing - and hold her from behind.

"She may change her mind, 'cause it must be a scary thing to go through, having a baby."
