AEROSMITH - STEVEN TYLER SPLITS FROM WIFE

AEROSMITH rocker STEVEN TYLER has split from TERESA, his wife of 17 years.

The singer announced the news yesterday (20FEB05) in a statement from the band's publicist MITCH SCHNEIDER, and asked for the public to respect his and his family's privacy.

The statement reads, "Before the tabloid media makes more of this than it is, I am announcing that my wife Teresa and I are currently separated.

"We're just a family trying to work through a difficult time. A little privacy and sensitivity - for Teresa, my children and myself - would be nice."

Tyler and his second wife have two children from their union, CHELSEA, 16 and 13-year-old TAJ. The rocker has two other children, MIA from his marriage to CYRINDA FOX and actress LIV, from a relationship with BEBE BUELL.
