STELLA MCCARTNEY - STELLA AND HEATHER RIFT WIDENS

Newlywed designer STELLA McCARTNEY is outraged at pregnant step-mother HEATHER MILLS for fronting a campaign for her deceased mother LINDA's favourite charity.

Stella and Heather have reportedly never seen eye-to-eye, but now that the former model has agreed to pose for a magazine cover to aid the work of the ant-fur group PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS (PETA), the famous designer is further incensed.

A source confides, "Stella can't believe Heather doesn't realise how upsetting her actions can be. She sways from being angry to believing Heather is just insensitive."

A PETA spokesperson comments, "We approached Heather Mills over the summer to support our cruelty-free shopping guide and she agreed."

Notably, the pictures will not be taken by Stella's sister MARY, who took the shots of singer SOPHIE ELLIS BEXTOR holding a skinned rabbit to go with PETA's "Here's the rest of your fur coat" slogan.
