A host of stars including PULP frontman JARVIS COCKER and AIR are helping CHARLOTTE GAINSBOURG record her first album in two decades. Gainsbourg, the daughter of legendary French singer SERGE GAINSBOURG and actress JANE BIRKIN, is better known for being an actress in films such as 21 GRAMS. She hasn't released an album since CHARLOTTE FOREVER in 1986. 5:55, set for release in September (06), also features THE DIVINE COMEDY's NEIL HANNON and is produced by prolific producer NIGEL GODRICH, famed for his work with RADIOHEAD and BECK. Beck's father DAVID CAMPBELL has provided the disc's string arrangements. In recent years Gainsbourg has provided the spoken introduction to MADONNA's 2001 song WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL and sang backing vocals on BADLY DRAWN BOY's 2002 album HAVE YOU FED THE FISH?.
