ASHLEY OLSEN - STAR MAGAZINE ACCUSED OF SPYING ON OLSENS

America's STAR magazine has been accused of trying to pay revellers to spy on teen superstars MARY-KATE and ASHLEY OLSEN in a club bathroom.

The NEW YORK MINUTE duo were in the ladies' room at the BLENDER MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS afterparty on Sunday night (29AUG04) in South Beach, Miami, Florida, when eagle-eyed reporters reportedly offered female revellers money to go in and spy on them.

According to sources, a man approached one guest and offered her $20 (GBP11) to listen in on the girls' conversation, and was disappointed when she refused.

But a spokesperson for Star has denied the story, reported by PAGESIX.com, saying, "As far as I know, we didn't have a reporter there. We don't pay for stories."
