LATEST: SYLVESTER STALLONE and boxing champ SUGAR RAY LEONARD are to pay their respects to the man who killed himself after taking part in their THE CONTENDER TV show by attending his funeral in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, today (18FEB05).
Stallone was stunned when he heard NAJAI TURPIN had shot himself earlier this week (14FEB05), and refers to the incident as "a tragedy".
He says, "So much has happened in this show. It's like a real-life movie... It gives you an idea of how much passion these men (contestants) live with."
The Contender debuts on US TV next month (MAR05).
